"Just changed our auto and home insurance back to State Farm after a brief trial with another insurance agency. So glad we did! The other agency told us we had a $2000 deduction on our home owner's policy but we found out the new policy had a $2000 deduction for most claims but a $27,000 deductible for any wind and hail claims which was ridiculous. "Mr. Knizer, despite receiving a comment to this thread requesting contact with the office, has yet to fix or take responsibility for the errors he and his staff made, which resulted in a widow incurring thousands of dollars in losses. Consequently, the parties involved have decided to leave and seek an agent who will take accountability for their actions. I cannot comment on car insurance, but I would strongly advise against seeking life insurance from Matt. My parents held several policies with State Farm, and following my father's death, the lack of compassion and professionalism displayed was shocking. My mother visited the office shortly after his passing to retrieve necessary documents and was unexpectedly asked to sign another form without any clarification, resulting in her losing a significant amount of money. Instead of taking responsibility, Matt attempted to shift the blame to another company, showing no accountability for his or his team's actions. In my interactions with him, he has repeatedly sent sensitive information intended for my mother to my personal email by mistake. Ironically, his email signature states, "Some Husbands and Wives Do Not Believe in Life Insurance: All Widowers and Widows Do." However, what value does life insurance hold if the agent mishandles it, causing financial loss for the surviving spouse? In my view, it would be prudent to seek assistance from another local State Farm agent."
